Gluten-Free Antalya: Seven Places, One Coast

Gluten-free Antalya starts in the old town of Kaleiçi at Level, a vegan restaurant where the whole kitchen is free of gluten, refined sugar and lactose. Beyond the old town, the coast adds a café in Konyaaltı, two bakeries that ship across Turkey, a beachfront resort with its own gluten-free kitchen in Göynük near Kemer, and a café in Alanya where nothing contains gluten.

If you are exploring beyond the coast, our guide to gluten-free Turkey covers more plant-based and safe options across the country.

Level in Kaleiçi

Level opened in 2022 at Civelek Sokak 12, in a side street of the old town. The menu runs from appetizers and soups to bowls, wraps, tacos and warm brownies, with vegan Adana kebab, burgers and pizza on the list, and the Level page on Tripadvisor collects photos and reviews.

A similar mix of plant-based cooking and options for celiacs exists in Istanbul at Bi Nevi Deli, which the Istanbul guide covers together with the city’s other addresses.

Akaçi in Konyaaltı

Akaçi Glutensiz Cafe & Market stands in the Arapsuyu district of Konyaaltı, at 659. Sokak No: 3. The Akaçi menu on Migros Yemek lists breakfast, poğaça, toasts, buckwheat pizzas, burgers and sweets without refined sugar.

Vegan options include spinach rose börek, toasts and waffles. For dessert there are brownies and güllaç without lactose.

Two bakeries that ship

For a longer stay in gluten-free Antalya, two bakeries ship across Turkey. Glutensiz Seferoğlu stands in the Kışla district, at 54. Sokak No: 14/A, and sells online under the brand Gluteno. The Gluteno online shop carries:

  • breads: plain, baguette, sourdough, whole grain and sandwich loaves,
  • lavash, simit and bazlama,
  • cookies, and sweet and salty shortbread,
  • ice cream cones, sarı burma and snacks.

Familya Glutensiz in Kepez has made bread without wheat since 2021, at Hüsnü Karakaş Mah. 3577 Sokak, Altınoluk İş Merkezi No: 2/C. Its range includes buns, Turkish delight, cakes, cookies, frozen pizza and pastries, and the Familya Glutensiz online shop delivers by courier.

Izmir has the same model in Glutensiz Nokta, a shop with national shipping that the Izmir guide describes along with a bakery and a restaurant.

A resort with its own kitchen

Mirage Park Resort is a five-star, ultra all-inclusive hotel on the beach in Göynük, at Ahu Ünal Aysal Caddesi 29, open all year. The gluten-free restaurant page of Mirage Park Resort describes a kitchen completely independent and isolated from the other kitchens, where trained chefs prepare the food.

Guests with gluten disorders report it at reservation and at check-in. The Gluten Free Harbour description of the resort adds that meals are served on a separate buffet or à la carte, in a designated area of the restaurant.

The Turizm Days article reports the Glutensiz Mutfak Hizmet Uygunluk Belgesi, the kitchen service certificate that the hotel received.

Alanya

Cook & Cookies Bakery in the Oba district, at Eski Gazipaşa Caddesi 15, is a café with no gluten in any dish. Its Instagram profile with the menu and hours lists breakfast, burgers, salads, bowls, bakery, coffee and a kids menu. A terrace and a fenced playground sit next to the café, and a small gluten-free shop is part of it.

The HappyCow page for Cook & Cookies lists the vegan carrot cake, muffins and falafel wrap.

Cozy Alanya, at Damlataş Caddesi 51, runs a separate section of the menu with pasta, pizza, burgers, garlic bread and desserts, and also has vegetarian and vegan dishes. The atly list of places in Alanya collects more restaurants and cafés in the area.

If your itinerary takes you inland from the coast, check out the gluten-free Ankara guide for a similar list of safe, plant-based kitchens and municipal bakeries in the capital.

Addresses, hours and menus can change, so the map or the venue’s social media is worth checking before heading out, and people with celiac disease should confirm preparation with the staff before ordering.
